MASTERBATH REMODEL

This bathroom was in dire need of an update. The paint was peeling off the ceiling due to the poor ventilation. Bench in shower was at wrong end. All in all dated, as well as feeling very small. The bathroom was gutted, ceiling raised, and walls and ceiling properly insulated. While ceiling was open, fiberglass was blown into attic to raise R value above 40. A solar powered Velux skylight was installed to add lots of natrual light. In shower area, a Kedri system was used behind tile as well as an oversized exhaust fan vented to outside of house. A heated floor was installed for a toasty warm floor. Ceiling lighting, is LED dimmable. Matching granite was used for curbs and bench in shower, lavatory top, as well as the threshold coming into bathroom. Custom glass enclosure was treated with Cardinal 10 surface protection.

BASEMENT REMODEL

On this basement remodel we worked with the owner on all the details. From the towel storage under stairs, lighted recessed shelves in the bathroom and gaming room to the custom lighting and AV/sound system through out the basement. First the entire basement was gutted. We installed polystyrene insulation board directly to the foundation around the whole basement. This provided a thermal block as well as a vapor barrier. The floor was raised up on sleepers for added insulation value, and as a base for the different floorings that we installed. Walls were then insulated with fiberglass and drywalled. The electric service to the house was upgraded. The entire basement was rewired and plumbed. A heated whirlpool tub was installed in bathroom. The laundry room is much more functional now and has a recessed ironing board built into the wall. Gaming room has recessed areas for two TV's and other recessed cabinets for seasonal decorations. There is a dart board spot, office area, art and crafts area, refreshment section also recessed under stairs, and a bedroom with custom Murphy bed. Flooring includes hardwood, tile and sculpted carpet. All in all a beautiful addition to this home.

BASEMENT RE-MODEL

On this job there was a moisture problem in this basement. The walls were scraped, holes were plugged with hydraulic cement, and then sprayed and brushed with Thoroseal. some steel re-enforced concrete needed to be removed with chipping hammers and a plasma cutter. Walls were framed, electric run, insulation installed then drywalled. New Pella windows were installed. The floor had to be leveled before tile was installed. A new staircase was installed. All wood work was stained and coated with  polyurethane. A recessed TV box was also installed. Lighting is dimmable LED lights.
Storage units were built for other side of basement.
